Speak is a 2004 independent film based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Laurie Halse Anderson. It stars a then thirteen-year-old Kristen Stewart as Melinda Sordino, a high school freshman who becomes silent after being raped by an upperclassman. The film is told through Melinda's eyes and is wrought with her sardonic humor and blunt honesty.

I absolutely loved this film. I think it's Kristen's best film so far, though Twilight truly is fantastic. I think New Moon will be a one to remember :)
