Madonna began her 1st world tour since 1993, the Drowned World Tour, visiting cities in North America and Europe. Madonna's tour in 2001 was a success as one of the highest grossing of the year. It grossed $75 million from 47 sold-out shows.
Madonna also released her 2nd greatest hits collection, GHV2 to coincide with the home video release of the tour
